Da har jeg vært i kontakt med min venninde igjen.
Her er følgende hun har å si om situasjonen i Norge og Thailand som hun kan ha oversikt over.
"Hi, Doing alright, lots to do at work at the moment as you can imagine.

It's crazy here, everyone pretty much in lockdown, but hopefully that will slow the spread. The criteria for testing here has recently changed, since the country is in lockdown - and it's more restricted to people who are severely ill. Anyone with regular nonspecific cold/flu like symptoms is no longer being tested since everyone is pretty much in quarantine anyhow. There is a worldwide shortage of consumables for testing, so therefore that's why everyone cannot just get tested with non-specific cold and flu symptoms which are normal for this time of the season.
As for Thailand....
It's difficult to really know what is going on there. I assume testing is not done so stringently there (Norway is actually one of the countries with the most tests / population, very good), however I have the latest published results:
Thailand reported 30 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday [17 Mar 2020], raising the total to 177, Sukhum Kanchanaphimai, permanent secretary of the Ministry of Public Health told a news conference.
Of the 30, 3 are foreigners, but their nationalities were not revealed.
Dr Sukhum divided the new infections into 2 groups. The 1st group comprised 14 people who were in close contact with previous patients or were associated with the places where previous patients visited: 11 cases from a boxing stadium, one from an entertainment venue, and 2 people who were in close contact with previous patients.
The 2nd group involved 16 new patients, including 9 who recently arrived from other countries and one who worked closely with foreigners. The other 6 patients in this group were under investigation.
Since [3 Jan 2020], Thailand has recorded 177 COVID-19 cases; 41 patients have recovered, one has died, and 135 are still in hospitals, Dr Sukhum said. Between 70% and 80% of the cases were in Bangkok.
Three recovered patients were discharged from hospitals on Tuesday [17 Mar 2020]. One left the Central Chest Institute of Thailand and the 2 others were discharged from the Bamrasnaradura Infectious Diseases Institute. Both facilities are in Nonthaburi province.
The number of patients being monitored stood at 7045, 65% of whom had recovered and had mostly been diagnosed with seasonal flu.
To help control COVID-19, Dr Sukhum advised people to stay at least one metre from one another, refrain from travel and parties, wear face masks in crowded areas, carry hand sanitiser gel, regularly wash hands, and avoid sharing personal appliances.
Anyone with a fever, runny nose, and sore throat must wear a face mask and see a doctor immediately, he said.
So it does seem that it is mainly in the BKK area. I assume it is mostly a problem with people importing it at the moment, although there may be some local spreading. Surprisingly though the number of cases in Thailand hasn't exploded yet, even though it was the first place it was spread to outside China. This might be because the virus doesn't spread as well in warmer/humid weather (this is typical of other viruses that cause respiratory infections, but not yet confirmed for corona -for example in the temperate zones there are no flu seasons, but rather flu spreads all year round, and doesn't have such huge peaks of illness). Although it may be different there as I have no idea what the 'real' situation is...

So it's difficult to really say what will happen. My guess is if there will be big problems the areas affected will be dense population city areas. Probably the biggest issue of concern is traveling if you decide you want to move anywhere in the next 1-2 months
